EDGE - No music?

I downloaded EDGE to try modding for it, and I can't seem to get music working. I tried getting into the CFG file and installing Timidity, but nothing worked. Help an EDGE user out?

Did music work before you installed timidity? Both sound and music for edge 1.34f work fine for me "out of the box". XP pro and Audigy sound card.

Nope. I'm running on Windows 7 with integrated audio. I assumed that I should install Timidity for it to work.

There was a strange thing my midi or windows mixer/synth would do when running some source engines.
As soon as the game would start my midi volume would drop all the way to the bottom, strangely enough not in the game mixer but in windows mixer.
You might double check that, although win7 may not have much options to work with there..
Since then I'v slapped my Audigy2 ZS back in and haven't ran into the issue.

Yeah...Another thing to get for my PC would be a MIDI soundcard. I also want a better GPU (I just got the GeForce 9100 - pretty generic, but works fine).

You know what, you're right, I seem to have music in standard Doom2 but If I run a pwad, only some of the midi music plays..
So it may be something to do with MUS or MID or a set time length? but I'm not sure which yet.
