Assistance needed
How do you kill the Cyberdemon without constantly draining my ammo.
I remember the last time that I couldn't I recieved some advice, but when I built a new computer I lost the hard drive that doom 3 was on with both the advice on killing the Cyberdemon and the saves up to that point. Any help would be appreciated. |

Use the soulcube. Ammo shouldn't really be a concern at the end of the fight seeing as there isn't anything after it.

Thanks, Crazedimp. That piece of advice jogged my memory.
The last foum member from the last time suggested the same thing. |

I've just tried your suggestion. Like the previous user's suggestion.
No luck. You forget that the soul cube is a one use item and is unavailable until the five demons needed to "fill" it is taken. And in the sector where the Cyberdemon is has not got any demons to refill it. Any further suggestions? |

There should be all kinds of demons coming out of the pit there. The only way to kill the Cyberdemon is like CrazedImp said, with the soul cube.

Well the Cyberdemon does eventually die if you shoot it enough, the game isn't scripted that it dies after you throw the soul cube five times. But monsters should be coming out of the hole in the middle regardless.

No the Soul Cube needs five demons to fill it after it's use, not being fired five times.

What are you talking about? Ok first up; the cube needs 5 demons to be used. Having said that, all you need to do is run around the pit and kill enough demons to power it up before tossing it at the cyberdemon. Wash, rinse and repeat until the bugger dies. If you can't see any demons then there's something wrong with you. You can't miss them. It's hard not to notice those maggot guys coming at you.

The start of the level is loaded with ammo so that you get fully replenished. Its more challenging to attempt to kill the Cyberdemon with just normal ammo.

Yeah, I just run around with the BFG shooting at the random imps and maggots that pop up to recharge the soul cube.
You need to hit the cyberdemon 5 times with the soul cube to kill it. I thought it was only on the xbox version that you can kill it with normal ammo... On PC you have to kill it with the soul cube, and normal ammo doesn't work... |

You can't hurt the Cyberdemon with normal weapons in Doom3, you need the Soul cube to kill it.

It's actually quite easy. It's just a command in it's .def file that does it.

.....and here I was thinking there was going to be a bunch of scripting or something. Well that's cool. Don't know If I'll ever use the info. The one Doom 3 map I was working on got scrapped.
