Documentation, Configs, etc
Hi I have a few questions...
1) where is the documentation? none seems to come with the install...there is a "doc" folder, but it's empty. I checked online and all the documentation links are broken. 2) Where can you find the config files to do your settings through notepad? I can't find them and the GUI is still missing a lot of stuff. I've been a Doomsday user for a long time, but I just installed the latest version after not using it for a few years, and I'm having trouble getting up to speed and getting back all my old settings. Also, how come there's no "fastmonsters" option in the "gameplay" section of the in-game GUI? I've used that setting for years in the console, but given that so much stuff has been added to the GUI, and that one is one of the best options for gameplay, I'm surprised it's still not there. IMO, its essential if you want the game to be any challenge with a mouse. |

The .cfg files are in Snowberry/Runtime. You can always add -fast to the commandline to avoid having to set it in the console each time.
The documentation for Dday can be found in Beta4. For some reason it wasn't added to the Beta5.x release. The online documentation (the wiki) has been down for quite some time now, pending an software update that the dev's have unfortunetly, so far, ended up not having the time to do. |

The fact that Snowberry usurps the CFG files for the engine is reasons 1, 2, and 3 why I don't like it.
If it's a launcher, then it should behave like a launcher, not take over config files for the game. |

Actually thats not correct. The config files are still used regardless whether you launch Doomsday from the command line, Snowberry or otherwise.
