Sounds like a PEBKAC issue. You might be having an ID-10 T error on Layer 8. Take care of those problems and everything should run smoothly.

Eh, like jetflock said, 3D mode isn't that great anyway, you'd still get your maps finished quicker doing everything in the grid view. Its good to use when you want to quickly check how something looks without having to load it in game.

A PEBKAC is definitely possible. I thought it might be more of a picnic, though.

DB has some pretty flaky GL stuffage going on sometimes. It does weird things on some of my computers. It is, however, open source. Go find yourself a graphics guy to fix it. Or maybe see how the newest versions of DeePsea or Slade are doing.

3D Mode works really well actually. You can adjust floor heights, unpegging, offsets, textures, etc and see the results instantly. But yeah, it does do strange things sometimes.

I dissagree 3dmode is a bless I have the same stuff sometimes and I'm not complaining, I work just as much in 3dmode as I do in the grid view.

Maybe al those problems will be in the past once db2 gets released.

3D mode isn't that great? Doom Builder has the best 3D mode in a level design program that I've seen so far. So what if you see a slime trail sometimes or some weird triangular hole in the floor.... try flying around in the 3d window in Qoole or some other editor sometime. haha try the 3d mode in DoomCAD.... now that isn't all that great.

I don't know what warriordoomer is doing wrong. The description is pretty vague.

Yeah, DB's 3d mode is really good. Can't wait to see how Codeimp does with the new complete revamp of DB!

yeah, i agree. 3d mode is nice, but I have been getting by with the grid since '95 or so. I can picture the map in 3d already, lol.
