The DethAlbum

The Dethalbum

I'm so excited about this CD coming out. I have the deluxe version on pre-order <3. I've heard some of the leak songs and it sounds awesome. Anyone else excited as I am for the release of this along with the new season of Metalocalypse?

It sounds decent so far. Gene Hoglan does a much better job at drumming from the drum machine hackjob they had done before, but it's still pretty watered down, which is expected for something so mainstream.

Yes, I'm going to get it. Can't wait for it to come out.
Hope I can find the deluxe edition, I read it's got the first episode of season two on it.

I probably won't buy it. I have MP3s of the Dethklok songs that I like (Thunderhorse, Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle, Dethharmonic)

To award Toki for his brave work today, I should like to give him something the rest of you may one day earn: The bannana thticker!

I think his funniest part in the show is where the band ejected him out of their sub while he was floating in a tank of liquid oxygen, and he did his little "Underwater friends" song. Kind of stupid, yet kind of funny.

Nah, Toki's best parts are when his parents are around in Dethfam. :P

I like his braided pigtails, though. Kudos to whoever can tell who that references. Kyle isn't allowed to answer.

Well, yes, in PerformanceKlock, Toki wears braided pigtails. I am asking who that is in reference to. You're probably too much of a metal noob to know.

No idea. I primarily only listen to four metal bands, I don't get out much.

EDIT: Sorry, make that five.

I only expect one other person here to know, really (who would be +Acyclitor+). Possibly Rusty would know, and Danimetal might.

But I'm not going to spoil it. It's an easy reference if you know anything about black metal.

And I don't.
It all sounds the same to me, at least from what little of it I've heard.

This is the only picture I could find, and I had to crop half of it because it was juxtaposed right next to the person it is referencing. :P

I guess he kind of looks like a certain Norwegian prison inmate, but I don't know what the braids have to do with it

No, I just forgot Slayer.

I only have like three DethKlok songs anyway, and I've only listened to one of them.

Yeah, you are on the right track. Haven't you seen pictures from his trial?

Here's the full picture:

You should read this Article on the Burzum site that Varg wrote about why he killed Euronymous. He mentiones a journalist commenting on his hair, which I thought was pretty funny:

He was obviously very disappointed by the fact that I didn't look "evil". It never seemed to occur to him that I might not look like an "evil Satanist", simply because I wasn't an "evil Satanist"... Snorre was described as just "a smaller, thinner and paler version of the Count". The journalist surely didn't intend for it to be funny, but it certainly was, because it was just so incredibly foolish.
