This is good that you get the conflicting, you can choose which weapon to use, so you can mix and match the abbspack weapons with the jDRP ones.

I've unzipped and placed the whole .box folder in the addons. Great. Now when I try to click on all the addons in the actual Doomsday engine screen, I get this "conflicting errors" screen with the AbbsPack.pk3 as the only option to select. Since I cant click on the Abbs Pack to select it, I cant use the cool weapons to kill stuff with. I've tried moving just the .pk3 file out of the .box folder and I get a segmentation error or something. I believe this is merely a matter of moving what to where and clicking what in the addons tab.

Help please?
The conflicts screen should be giving you some options. Something isn't right, if it isn't. You're trying to use it in combination with the JDRP, right? Is it the older version of JDRP, or the one repacked in .box format especially for Snowberry? If it's the repackaged version, you should see both "Abbs Pack" and "jDoom Resource Pack" as branches of the tree in the left frame of the Addons tab.

If the jDoom Resource pack shows up as a single entry instead of a branch, that may be why Snowberry isn't giving you choices of what to do with the individual conflicts. That means you need to go get the re-released version.

Be patient with me on this one.
(that is, not to say that you are being impatient, but I'm pretty dumb in this whole situation)

I went out and got a resource pack from The Modelyard and unzipped it directly into the snowberry/addons folder. I also put the entire abbspack .box in there as well. The only selection I can make in the Jdoom launcher is to select the abbs pack. I select it, and I still get a conflicting resources, with the only conflicting resource is the abbs pack. Apparently it's in conflict with itself?

So now I have two problems:
-When I individually downloaded separate jdrp files and selected them, they worked. I got rid of the individual ones, got the pack, and put it in the addon's...it didn't work.
-the abbs pack isn't working either.

if someone could tell me how to take a screen shot as flamepanther did, I would be glad to show screen shots of the launcher's add on tab and the conflicting resources window, and a few more of the contents of the add on folder to make sure I have everything right.

if the one from the modelyard isn't the one of which you speak, link me to the good one.

For now, you should probably remove the version you got from the Modelyard and use the one here: http://doomsdayaddons.eduke32.com/
It doesn't have all the newest models, but it works the best with Doomsday at the moment. Anything else will probably need a lot of manual configuration.

I've been a long time user of Doomsday, but only just found about Abbspack (and these forums). After using the latest Abbspack for a while I noticed that the rocket pickup model doesn't show.

I've traced the problem to:
Inside Abbs_PickupRocket.pk3, the abbs_pickuprocket.ded file has a reference to sub file "abbspack/pickups/rocket/rockcase.md2", but the actual file is "abbspack/pickups/rocketbox/rockcase.dmd". Notice the folder rocket is actually rocketbox.

When I fixed the .ded file to reference the right folder, it showed up.

{link removed} has been fixed. Rather than changing the ded, the folder name has changed to correspond to the path in the ded.

@Orfax - Thanks for spotting the error.

The one {link removed} is still in error. To whoever concerned feel free to update it.

EDIT: DaniJ - Removed links due to this addon containing resources taken from another game (HalfLife).
