[Resolved] Is the resource pack or Doomsday broken?
I have tried just about every method to get this sucker to work but after 3 attempts:
1. The recommended method for 1.9.0 beta 4. 2. The classic method using the Auto folders and an old standalone copy of Kickstart. 3. Unpacking EVERYTHING and manually loading all the DEDS and DATA files. All three have failed. So I have a question. Is the Resource Pack broken or is Doomsday broken? I'd really like to use these model packs. |

Are you sure when you follow the instructions that you are NOT putting the jdrp.zip and .manifest file in the snowberry addons folder? If you are then stop, that doesn't work. In the Doomsday control panel, do you have models enabled?
Unpacking everything and manually loading all the ded's and data files doesnt work, unless you add the line "Add jdrp.ded" to the jdoom.ded. Also posting up some system specs (driver versions, operating system, basic hardware, etc), may help us more to help you. You should also try a fresh install. There is nothing wrong with Doomsday or the resource pack, as it works for everybody else. So there is something that you, or your computer, is doing wrong. |

Pentium M 730 1.73Ghz Centrino
Nvidia GeForce GO 6600 PCIe 128mb Realtek HD 880(D) Codec Audio 512mb Samsung DDR-2 RAM Alienware 5500-M Laptop 1280x800@60Hz That's my system specs and I know it's far more than enough power to push this sucker. 1. Control Panel has Models enabled. There is an option to Pre-Cashe Sprites that is Off. Should I turn that on? 2. Yes I did put the jdoom-resource-pack-1.01.zip and the .manifest file in the SnowBerry add-on and yes the packs are enabled both in Default and per game. The install I have is a fresh install of Doomsday as is everything else. The odd thing is nothing is being loaded in the console startup display regarding the models where in the past I have always seen it. |

Quote:
1) Download jDRP and the manifest and leave them on your desktop. 2) Start up Snowberry, go into the addons manager and then click the '+' button. A dialog will open which asks you to locate the addon you wish to install; navigate to your desktop then choose jDRP. 3) Delete the copies of jDRP and the manifest on your desktop. |
