On a side note, I think this shouldn't be allowed to get published at all. Think we should or can do something about it?
After all, they did rant on and on about Doom, GTA and other games like that (excluding the ones that do show intestines/blood flying about).
Other than that they also claimed it was a 'good' game because you weren't able to shoot policemen ... as if they're better than normal people.

It's a free country and this game will probably be released to great reviews, even if it really really sucks.

I like how they try to defend the violence in the game because the player is not doing the actual killing, but instead is ordering subordinates to carry out the killing. People don't realize that DooM is THE holiest game ever created. Because the player is saving all mankind from the forces of hell. How do you get more sacred than that?

I've been saying that time and time again. I even used that in a debate in my english class about video game violence being bad. "How does killing demons that would otherwise destroy humanity cause bad behavior?" That shut them up pretty quickly

As for you guys saying this shouldn't be permitted to be published, you need to shut up. That's not how free speech works. These guys have done nothing except capitalize on the hopes and fears of lots of people (and a book series that does the same). It's their right to be stupid. If I found out the game was really fun I'd play it anyway. Most religious games are too preachy and no fun though.

my highschool principal was also a priest. he had what they now call "priest sickness". this is a fairly new term because its been so taboo to study the clergy (or atleast any "holy man" that cuts his sexual side off for "God"). it really means he has sex with young boys.

What the friggin' heck?! I just read (it was on wikipedia so correct me if I'm wrong) that rock musicians were generally depicted as satanic in this thrown together peice of garabage they call a game.

I myself play the guitar and am a big fan of Metallica, and this is just plain mean. Why does religion seem to have problems with everything except for itself?
