er - how about installing some decent graphics drivers for your graphics card ??
It sure as hell isn't Doomsday with the problem. (Your topic is certain to provoke hostile responses) |

First you need to identify your video card. Could a windows user chime in with the appropriate steps here,
Then we will find the current drivers with you. |

One of two things wrong. Get into here and find out:
Right Click (Desktop) -> Properties -> Settings [tab] 1) You're using a POS integrated video card. Check for it to have some kind of name like Intel ##x. 2) Your graphics accelration isn't on. Go even further to check: Advanced [button] -> Troubleshooting [tab] You'll see a slider for hardware acceleration. It needs to be completely to the right. If the slider is disabled, try getting a real video card. I won't make an empty promise that they're cheap or anything, but you can get one good enough for Doomsday for less than $100. Check the motherboard and everything to find out what type of card you'll need. If you don't have an AGP or PCI Express slot, you're pretty much screwed. |

Yeah, it looks like you've got an integrated graphics card. It's not likely to run any games that require 3-D acceleration. You'll need an upgrade if you want to play Doomsday or almost anything made since 1998 or so.

http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...eng&PrdMap=797 If you have Windows 98 or Windows Me, use this driver http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...eng&PrdMap=797 Happy Dooming PS - if that does not work - you would need a new graphics card. |
