Firefox 2

Anyone else taken the plunge?

I've had no problems since installing it yesterday

I grabbed it yesterday before it was officially released. I downloaded a legit copy today just to be nice to the Mozilla guys and their statistics.

This thing is slick. All kinds of bugs just magically vanished AND it got faster!

Yeah, it's somehow smaller, faster, more stable, less buggy, and has more features. That trick is rare in the software world and I appreciate all the effort. This will have me pushing it on even more people.

Is anyone using that "other browser" that was also recently released? And clicking on the new darker blue E cuz it wasn't like that last time cuz auto update forced it on you does count.

Don't plan to install it myself, I don't use it unless I can't avoid it.

Holy Sh.... Firefox 2.0 is way improved. Everythings loading in half the time, and no bugs to speak of. Perfect

I've been using it in edgy since the pre-releases - and well - it's still a memory hog, my extensions broke, and it's not much faster.

It and Konqueror (which I almost never spell right) both are nice to run - but I prefer to see it called Bon Echo or IceWeasel due to some very odd practices from Mozilla Corporation.

Some of my extensions broke; all but one had updates by the end of yesterday. The one that didn't forced me to find something that turned out better than what I was using.

I've yet to find a better replacement for the extensions that are still not compatible with FF 2, so I guess I'll have to do without them.

Just installed myself after seeing this thread (I had no idea there was a FF2 yet, else I would have installed as soon as it launched ;P ).

Only problem so far, is that some of my extensions don't work now, and my favorite skin isn't compatible anymore. Hopefully those'll be fixed soon.

[edit]Holy crap, is this a built in spell checker for textboxes that I'm seeing? Sick. Don't have much problem with spelling anyway, but this is nice.

Only a couple of my extensions are still broken (bloglines, xray, etc) nothing I can't live without.

I didn't check this out yet but I will soon. Guess I was just waiting to see if it was buggy or whatever....

[edit]

Pretty slick indeed.

Either you need a faster connection, or you need some A.D.D. medication.
