my computer is PCI Express compatible?

My owners manual says I have 3 PCI slots and 1 AGP slot.

I have a Dell Dimension 4600 with an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 in there right now and I want to upgrade to a better GPU.

PCI Express is slot. You have 'em or you don't and by the sounds of it you don't.
But you do have an AGP slot and you can still find descent video cards for AGP. A 7600GS or 6600GT are probably your best bets.
