Hi,
I have installed DeepSea editor and upon starting it up, there are error messages appearing. First, an error message box appears. It says "C:\DeePsea\SCRIPTS.WAD is not IWAD,foundPWD" I clicked ok and another error message appeared. The message's title is Error_find IWAD. The error is "No main IWAD found". There is a search and cancel button. When I cancel button,a "From Game IWAD file" dialog box appeared. I clicked on Doom2TuT.WAD and an error message appeared. It said "C:\DeePSea\Doom2.Tut.WAD is not IWAD, found PWAD". What do these error messages mean? I have not installed the Doom or hex games on the computer yet. And what do the IWAD and PWAD extensions represent? |

You have to have a Doom game installed. The Doom or Doom 2 wads are "iwads" and fan-made wads are "pwads."

The valid Iwads are:
Doom.wad Doom2.wad Tnt.wad Plutonia.wad Heretic.wad Hexen.wad These are the wads that contain ALL the resources, when launching a pwad, you rely on a part of the iwad, the pwads cannot be used all alone Somewhere in the configuration there will be an option to locate iwads for each versions (doom2 for doom2, hexen for hexen, etc), locate the appropriate wad |

I'm sure "The People's Doom" would work too.
