[Invalid] Spider Mastermind not dying.

Level 6, The Crusher... Not really a crusher anymore seeing as the Spider Mastermind survives the crush now. ???

Huh ! using the latest - beta 4 - the spidermind certainly dies ! He has 3000 hit points so it take a little while for him to die - just wait !

Um... why is it different ? I remember in the last 10+ years of playing he seemed to die a lot quicker than that ?

Invalid ? Sorry only part of the question has been answered, why is it different from how it has always been ? I thought jdoom was a graphical enhancement, not a gameplay changing device ?

No, the "Invalid" remark accounts for both parts of your question.

jDoom isn't any different to DOOM with respect to how damage is calculated nor in the number of hit points the Spider Mastermind has.

I have compared jDoom's behaviour to that of the original DOOM and several other source ports and have observed no noticable difference.

This would suggest that it is not a problem in jDoom.

The Spider Mastermind has always been able to survive the first fall of the cursher. I remember playing that level on the original Doom 2 straight off my 1.6 CD.

Might have been just a one off freak glitch or something, it just wouldn't die. I also noticed with the 3d models that the crusher actually doesn't lower any further than the model itself... weird.
