I have the oppertunity to buy one of these two computers, I was wondering which would perform better in games:
Geforce 7900GT 256mb Athlon 64 x2 4200+ (mint processor) 1gb RAM or Geforce 7900GTX 512mb (mint Gfx card) Athlon 64 3500+ 1gb ram (this rig costs slightly more, but is still in my price range) Does the processer make that much difference, I understand that dual core processors are very good, but is there that much need with a Graphics card of such caliber??

They're pretty close. I'd choose the top one because a dual core processor will be more helpful outside of games. A X2 3800 with a GTX would give best of both worlds if thats possible. And it would be good idea to up RAM to 2GB (2x1GB sticks if possible).
