Doom Tournament 2004 - Version 1.5 is on its way

As with my current projects
-Total Chaos
-Action DOOM Converstion (waiting till the new Legacy is released)
-Starquest
I am working on an update for the August, 2004 multiplayer megawad (for Doom LEGACY). This update will enhance the level detail to the max. There will also be new levels and better Fraggle-Script code included. New weapon sprites and sounds are a mabe but the update plans to be released in a weeks time (or 2 weeks).

Here are some before and after screenshots:

As you can see, the update will enhance the level design making it more eyecandy.

Thanks,

Stay tuned for more update info...

Your abuse of the Metal texture will not be tolerated anymore. Use some other textures. if you don't find any good, get the textures from Gothic DM and use them. They fit perfectly for that.

Also, I'd not call that detail enhanched to the max. You gotta do better than that to impress me. :/

Detail is not...
  • Copy 'n Paste
  • Random clicking
  • Applying lighting fixtures without making them emit light
  • 3D floors

Well, lights could be off, but it´s not likely :P.
Also, detailing a map is not neccesary to impress your audience but it will sure do with a part of it. Given that I will wait to see the rest of the maps .

Well, at least this map looks better than the orignal .

I'll work on some custom textures. But untill then, heres a pic of the brand new assault rifle weapon (replacing the chainsaw):

Detailing is ...hmmm well, its detailing. Like Ebola suggested, take a wee peek at GothicDM for detail ideas, its full of good stuff. The textures wad for gothicDM is also available separately for mappers to use with their own maps. It has some of the best quality custom textures and flats available especially if you want to use lots of bricks and metal. I would also suggest you get a copy of 'the darkening 2' it has some great new textures and wonderfully detailed maps

Did I mention that DT will feature a new tournament style single-player campaign (like in Skulltag and Unreal Tournament)?
