jDoom Crouch Mod trouble (on mac)

This isn't a big problem, but I can't get jDCM to work. I extracted the .PK3 and I'm pretty sure that all I need to get it to work is JDoomC.dll and CTDEMON.ded for the crouching and recoil only.

But I'm not sure I'm putting JDoomC.dll in the right place. Where should it go?
I'm pretty sure this is why it's not working but I can't figure out where I would put it. When I start jDoom, I go to controls and then to page 4 (where misc. controls are) as said in the manual, but crouch isn't there, and when I play the game, the guns don't recoil and pressing C doesn't do anything. Anyone know where the dll should go?

I always thought .dll's were files for game data.

Nope. Dll's are windows application extentions.

In that case they should make a mac-compatible version.

I'm not even going to go out on a limb for this one. .dll's are just too ornery for my taste.
