Daniel Legacy Wads
Hello! I'm better known at DoomWorld and ZDoom forums, and I want to divulgue some of my wads. I don't like to make wads specific to one ports, so there are some of my wads that runs in Doom Legacy 1.42 (tested), ZDoom and Doomsday engine:
New World - 07 maps, with a brand new atmosphere. The link is: ftp://archives.3dgamers.com/pub/idga...o/newwrld2.zip New World 2 - 18 maps (1 secret), with influence from New World and Darkening 2, and also some forests and castles. I think is my best mod. Here it is: ftp://archives.3dgamers.com/pub/idga...o/newwrld2.zip 99weap - 11 wads with 9 weapons replacement in each one, the biggest weapon mod ever! You can run it with all maps you want. And I would like so much to see Doomworld and Newdoom hand in hand... Yes, I know: I'm just a Frenchie dreamer ![]() That said, I must recognize that I'm a little bit annoyed with your title: "Legacy wads", because they are not Legacy specific, but compatible!

Thank you, Jive! I really wanted to see NewDoom and DoomWorld.com together, but for what I see until now, there are some arrogant and boring people in DoomWorld, so it can never happen. I always appreciate the people in NewDoom.com.
Well, the point is: I don't like to make wads specific to one port. I did a few for ZDoom, and started a city in Doom Legacy. It was looking very cool, because of the 3d floor support, so I could add roofs in the houses. But the priority now is to develop Neo Doom. Maybe I'll make Legacy-specific wads to Neo Doom, like this city. |

I wasn't asking any specific work from you (even if I would be VERY pleased of it, of course). I told that the title of this thread was using the term of "Legacy wads", making wrongly think, perhaps, that you were sharing with us some Legacy specific works of yours. ![]() P.S.: I would be grateful to see what I have just written correctly translated into English. ah, I see... well, since these wads work in Legacy, it could be called "Legacy wads", don't you think?

"Zdoom wads" are wads for Zdoom, "Legacy wads" are wads for Legacy, and they aren't compatibles: they were made exclusively for the concerned port because of exclusive features, and we name them like that to make the difference between compatible and exclusive wads.
You can only proclame that your wads are "Legacy compatible wads"!!!
