Ahahahaahhaahh!!!!!! I Win I Win!
ok, so heres the set up. my mom makes me get up at 8am every sunday so i can go to church at 9am.
However, this is very unfair because i get up at 6am every morning to go to school, and on saturdays i get up at 8am to go to lacrosse practice. so, on the one day when i can sleep in, sunday, my mom makes me get up at 8 so i can go to church. understand that when i sleep without interruption, i can usually go to 11am. so, yesterday night, saturday, i asked my mom if i could sleep in tomorrow, sunday, and not go to church because that was my only day off from everything. she promptly said no. no matter how i pleaded, she said no. so, i set my alarm to 8 and then just went to sleep. then i wake up this morning. cursing and mumbling, i turn on my computer and stare into the screen. now keep in mind that my mom and my stepdad are asleep, they dont get up till 8:50 for church. so when my computer finally boots up and is ready to go, i look at the clock and it says 9:05. I think to myself hmmmmmm.......thats odd. i thought i set my alarm for 8. then i remember that today is the day when we lose an hour and set our clocks forward! my parents forgot this too, so theyre not going to get up until 8:50, at which time it will be 9:50 and church will be nearly over. just when we are about to walk out the door, i shall promptly inform them that today is spring forward day, and they didnt set their clocks. hence, no church for me and im happy as a bug in a rug. I WIN! I WIN I WIN I WIN I WIN!!!!! THEY GOT SERVED! just thought i would share this with you all, i think its pretty damn funny.

Do you really win? I mean....you still got up and didn't sleep in. Which is the thing you REALLY wanted to do.

Never been to church for a sermon. Never really had to. My family aren't very pushy with their religion. I have gone for weddings and christenings, and I ain't that bothered by it all. But I do enjoy having my sundays off, to do whatever I wanna do.

I think (not to start the big religion thing...) that we don't have to go to some weird collective to be closer to God. I can't stand church.

Yeah, it'd make much more sense to stand on a ladder, or climb up a tower.

That's the belief behind steeples. Look into history, it's kinda (yeah right) interesting. (If you're in the right mindset)

I'm not religious, but I have been known to go to church occasionally. It's probably extremely blasphemous, and I get a lot of bad looks (understandably), but the atmosphere in churches is something I've always been partial to.

well, at my church there isn't a "sermon". there are talks that are done by members of the church, and usually those topics are picked by the bishop, but are completely put together and presented by the members. it's cool because it's not always straight doctrine, and you get to hear other member's opinions about certain topics

nah, everyone isn't really weird, different...but not weird. haha, (i'm a recent convert) actually, most of my friends who are in the church are as normal as all of my other friends who are not. some of the other people are a bit kooky, but not necessarily because they belong to the church

Well i'm a Presbyterian. I've never attended that church, but it sounds pretty interesting. There is one about 6 miles from my house. I may visit it one day.

Methinks DooMMood's parents should be slightly less mean about the church business.
