Exclamation Adding Textures The right way :)

Why does every one only talk about WinTex? :P Use DeepSea if you want to replace Textures,
Sprites (Skins), and Flats. It is the best program for doing so! Yes, its hard to use at first, but its really not that hard to do! Most can be done with a few mouse clicks. I have tried WinTex, and it locks up 99% of the time. You want to add your graphics to Doom, Doom2, Download the free verion and give it a try.

If you can't figure it out, (I did ) ask me, I will help you! Email me at: mailto:ltdgrafex@ltdgrafex.comltdgrafex@ltdgrafex.com</A>

There is also an older program that works well Called "Dmgraph" (get it CD-Rom.com) This only works with Doom 1, but, I did 90% of my orignal work on LTdoom with it. Works like a charm, and it only took me a couple of hours and I could do anything with it! (well... almost anyway)

I'm sick of messing with wintex. It has too many buttons and the help file is mediocre. I get so far as making a new patch or custom texture and I still can't get the two wads, the map.wad and tex.wad to merge.

Yeah, Wintex can be kinda flaky, instead of merging wads, use the copy and paste function. It always works and you wad stays cleaner.

When I tried Wintex it locked up I have no idea why, but, I had some 1400 pics that I had converted to wads, I had to merge into one wad, and DeepSea (er a, at that time Deep97) was the only one that did it...... I got use to it, and now wouldn't work on a Doom wad without it! With DeepSea I know I can choose any group of wads and merge them with a few mouse clicks... I know others Like Wintex, and I'm not bashing it..... I'm just sugguesting a good alternitive

I use a really old version of NewWadTool.
Nobody can screw that one up.
