Doom_Dude's Templecore Server

I have a little ZDoom server running on my comp. Right now I'm messing with some other stuff but the server is running and should be online most nights that I'm on. It's all set up running my Templecore map and it would be kewl if some of you guys decided to use it. To find my server you can use the ZDaemon launcher and find the jobby that says....Doom_Dude's Templecore Server.

You'll find me, Don Incognito, Cybergeeker and Draconia on there at different times. Templecore is set for 5 players, so please don't freak if it get's filled.

No dice. He must not be running the server right now. It's mia on the master server and won't connect when I go to the console either.

Okay here's the lowdown on the server. It's not running all the time because I don't have a seperate comp for that sort of thing....not yet anyhow! So when I'm playing Blade or Quake II....no DooM server...due to the fact it screws up the ping in both Quake II and ZDoom.....very bad. Also when I sleep so does my comp. So unlike most of the ZDoom servers mine is just a temporary experimental jobby. Oh and anybody can run a server....all your doing is hosting the game like when you play Quake II deathmatch with your pal across the road / city / country. The Zserver program is zipped in along with the ZDaemon download...so go get it and set up some DooM fun! We need to play more DooM and get our asses away from the flamewars carp. I mean crap.

I'll have the server running tonight unless my bro wants to play some deathmatch Quake II style.

Yeh a second comp would be handy for that Doom Dude, It don't take much of a comp to run doom maybe you can an older comp for a good price and build a dedicated Doom server with it.

Any way, I'll be on later if you start it up.

Yah! Templecore rules!

I think it would be cool to set up VileCore on the server and play a 4 player co-op game some time, and heck, if you want to kill marines in it we'll add Mr. Doom's Solo Deathmatch patch and the respawn monsters setting.

Hrmmm is there a *nix port of ZServer? Because maybe I could set up a fairly perminent dedicated server on one of these P133s I've got lying around. I WOULD run it under Windows... but the words "Dedicated" and "Windows" tend to contradict each other.
