I don't mean that to sound offensive in the least. It's just that I realized something...with every announcement you've been making about the megawad, Doom_Dude, you're telling us how you are working on certain levels or beginning work on new levels.
This concerns me because I realize you've been designing levels and apparently placing them in the order you've made them. (Of course that's my assumption.) If this is so, please hear me out!! You should organize them so that they sort of fit into a "story." Different large units of areas...somewhat like Quake 2. Because, you noticed, Quake 1 and Doom 2 did not have this, and could have been better. I worn you now...if those levels look random, and not clustered, it won't be as good!! Any opinions? That was mine. ------------------ Don't look now, but there's a cacodemon on our tails! |

Well the truth for me is, I don't really care much for storyline. If the levels and all the BS is good, it's good.

Well as far as storyline goes: There are monsters and you kill them
![]() The levels are not all placed in the order that they were made, well some are, but you won't notice this when it's done, because I've gone back to my early levels and "repaired" anything that was "sucky". There will be a basic story, that I haven't gotten to writting yet, but that's just an introduction to what's going on... I understand what you're saying but it's impossible to cluster maps now that I'm nearing the 90% finished stage. When I started this project it was my intention to not create maps that were too alike. As far as clusters go, consider Vilecore to me one big 32 level cluster I made each map as an individual and aimed for making each map different than the last, but with a style that I think will make the level to level flow make sense...
