Just wondering if anyone has some "technology demo" style maps that show off the new features in Legacy? I'd really like to see software water, etc, but don't have any maps with these features implemented.
Can anyone direct me to some? ------------------ Life is Finite. Doom Hard.

Yeah, great idea. Then not only can a person d/l a map to see what is possible, they can reverse engineer the map to do the effect themselves.
The legacy team should rope Monkey into doing a showcase level for 'em. ![]() ------------------ Member of Team DEIM Webmaster The DOOM Editing Resource |

agreed; som must have tested the effects in SOME level, I doubt it would hurt to include those scraps in a build

Did you see the contest here on newdoom.com? there is a good starting map for 3D-floors,... just play with the linedef value as mentionned in SoM's editing page to see new features. Ok, that doesn't cover fragglescript, but it's still good.

Hey! I made this same suggestion just a couple of days ago! (http://forums.newdoom.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000806.html)
How come the idea was ignored when I suggested it, but is suddenly a great idea now that Finite is suggesting it |

Because we like Finite better than you. He is infinite and you are almost out of life. Don't take it personaly, we like you still.

As always Boingo, you're just too far ahead of your time. Though and this day and age, that could be a day and you'd still be totally overlooked. DOOMers must have short attention oooh donut. I like donuts.

Actually I'm working a bit on a small level that will show off the new legacy features. Like cameras. 3d light etc. Stay tuned.

Man, it's such a pain in the ass to put colored swimmable water below a 3D floor, you guys really need to fix that... all in all tho, as I get more used to it it's getting easier to edit. God it runs smooth and fast in OpenGL. Too bad it screws up everything 3D, still brutally sweet on Plain Vanilla Levels.
