Just a question on legacy's 3d bridge effect..
I got the invisible "thing" sorted but what I want to know is how do you get those railings right... they always appear to be hanging from the ceiling and not "wrapping arond" the invisible things.. also if some info on the new room-over-room effect could be put somewhere on the site or if someone could tell me where to find it it would be much appreciated

I made a "tutorial" here on this forum. Find the post and you can learn to make 3d floors.

I'm making a re-creation of the multiplayer level "swimmin' pool" from Rise of the Triad - one seriously cool and original level me and a friend had loads of fun modem DMing on.. its kinda like clay pidgeon shooting (one of those dmsports ones)
Ebola I can't find your 3Dfloors tutorial.. got another copy of it??.. (Hint: It would be a whole lot better on the Legacy Editing page).. oh and Is the Legacy water effect ever gonna be put back in?? [This message has been edited by Felix (edited 12-21-2000).] |

never mind, I found it.. but I'm still having a little trouble.. Is there a map which demonstrates this 3dfloor technique that I could use for reference?

If you want information about Legacy 3d stuff go to my buddy SoMs page.
somgs.demongate.ath.cx There you can read about how to make 3d floors and such. He also have added 3d fog transparent 3d floors and 3d water. It'll probably be in the next public version of Legacy. |

what an awesome 3d floor.. Its so simple and it works.. very well, doesnt look to shabby either.. only a few little probs like I'm tagging everywhere that I don't want the 3dfloor to appear and leaving the places where I do want it.. also the edges of the 3dfloor do not seem to appear in GL mode... I hope ZenNode fixes this, If I ever learn to use it.... nearly done the map, I'll put it.. somewhere.. I'll tell when I finish it so you can have a look at it Lamy Pie |

The 3d floors isn't finished in OpenGL yet. I hope that Hurdler will have them done by the next release cause... well 3d floors and OpenGL rules.

3d water???-is that another way of saying "we'll put the swimmable water back in becuase weve read http://www.angelfire.com/punk2/doomwadz/screens.html and think that the giant lake that completing level 5 of deathbringers *new* Tc *Depends* on"
