I have two little enchancmenets which was made by me (in my own Legacy sources).
1) Surround Sound (like Dolby Surround). All sound events which happens behind the player can be heared at your back (if Dolby ProLogic decoder was installed). It is DolbySurround scheme where back-channel (surround channel) encoded into two main stereo channels.2) Weapon dropping. When feture activated frags will be drops weapon from hand. Weapon drops with all ammuntion for this weapon. Unreal-style behavior. If you're interested I'll send Win32-executable to Legacy team to testing this extensions (for possiblilty to use in future versions of Legacy). Source code also available. |

Actually Surround Sound isn't too hard to coding
All what you need to know is only basics of the Dolby Surround sound encoding.

Ahem...I believe a certain somebody has already made a weapon drop. Why donÂ’t we just go ahead and make doom as realistic as we can so that doom looses its unrealistic characteristic that makes it so fun.

Toke do have a point. If you include weapon drop, please make it an option, and don't force it on us. But still that doesn't mean I wouldn't use it at all, for me it would be an unnecessary thing in deathmatch, but it would be kind of neat in coop where unlike singleplayer the players will probably die and continue, in that case, I would like at least getting one weapon back (it's so annoying when you've played through half Doom with the same life and you suddenly die, and only have a pistol to use). So, anyway, go for it, just make sure it's an option.

I agree that all new features should be optional. To me, that seems like a given. But Toke is really starting to annoy me. Buddy, all you do is complain. If you don't like what these people are making, then stop hanging around the forum. You've made your opinions very clear. Go away.

Of course, all my features are optional and switched off by default.
