Client/Server model = cool
Clients joining server in progress = cool Ok. Question. ![]() How can I start a server (non dedicated) where all clients must be connected before spawning into the game world? Some monsters "wake up" before my buddies are in and for one reason or another, this is not desired. To ask another way... is it possible to make the netgame connections work like it used to for special reasons? Is it possible to start recording a demo at game start with a commandline variable? If so, is maxdemo still necessary? Also regarding demos: You might want to make Doomsday append the correct suffix to demo files. If I just type: recorddemo foo Then the filename is explicit "foo" instead of "foo.cdm" (or whatever the correct suffix is). Also regarding Hacx and its -deh file. I'm okay with the fact that it won't work... but I'm just curious WHY won't it work? Just looking for a geeky technical answer. Is there a way to release a workable version? ![]() ------------------ Music for: TeamTNT's Icarus: Alien Vanguard, Bloodlands, Grievance, Pursuit DM Packs Memento Mori II Music Strain Story and Music Um... hang on... Gothic DM 1 and 2 Music, and uh... Requiem Project Good grief, I know I'm forgetting something. |

for the hacx thing. i am not sure of this so don't frag me if i'm wrong
but i think that there where some things possible to do with dehacked files that are not possible to do with doomsday resource files (ded-files). if there aren't any fancy stuff in the deh it might be possible to make a deh file that is supported by doomsday and to make a ded file(s) that do other stuff like level names and something.and why doesn't doomsday support all kinds of deh files? i think that it is so much different as an engine than the doom engine that is cannot support it totally. but in the end, with enough skill it could be possible to modify jdoom source and make it work ![]() ------------------ infundÃ*s kili mongol |

Actually, HACX does not work due to certain marker/art files in the wad. :/

Hacx load fine, it just seems some of the sprite animations are wrong.
Can these textures or whatever be substituted? |
