Post The Marine has returned

What's up fellow DooMers? I've been kinda busy for a while (Moving), and haven't been able to keep tabs on the net, which means no newdoom.com, which means I don't have a clue bout nothin thats happened for the last month or two. Any further development as of late?
Anything I might want to know? Anything at all?

Well as you probably know I do some of the news around here and in answer to your question I don't have the foggiest whats going on.....

Loads and loads.....No honest.
Ask Doom_Dude whats going on with his new project then maybe we can all get some info.
We want to see screenshots Damnit!!!!!

I have not a clue as to what is going on either. Here is a screenshot from my new project....cept it ain't anything DooMed. Somehow I started to replay Hexen II and it's actually a kewl game, now that it's been patched. So I reloaded my unfinished Hexen II map (started ages ago) and now I can't stop making this big assed castle. Now I'm working on this bit (not the bit below but anouther....bit with a Shadar Logoth type of feel to it) in the ruins. Heres that screenshot dammit Sorry no Doom stuff is being worked on for now.

That looks smucking fart, I love castles. I might give hexen II a go myself, once I get rid of my doom backlog.
Hey Facey, you should be making some doom stuff too, that spone 2 was mighty impressive.

Thanx. I started on the ruined part of this castle (seperate map) and this is something I've wanted to do in ages. I'm now putting this busted up tower together, piece by piece.

Well it sure is good to work on somethin different for a change. Hopefully this 3D editing will be good practice for when DooM III comes out...but you watch and see if they don't change things so much that editing DooM III will be completely different.

Cool! That map looks good. HeXen II always seemed a little too Quake-ish for me though. I didn't really like some element of the gameplay. The map design also seems to use a lot of hanging point-lights without fixtures for some reason. I'll get it to play that map though.

I tried making maps for Half-Life and it's not really easy. Good job! I might still do an HL DooM thing in the relatively near future.

Thanx Aliotroph? I always liked the Quake style of maps and Hexen II has this look to it that I think looks better than Quake. Maybe it's the fact that the textures in Hexen II are more varied in their colors. I do have a Quake map on the backburner, but my copy of Tread3D won't boot anymore. I think I'm going to do a hub for this Hexen II project, probably about seven maps. I like the fact that you can travel back and forth between maps in Hexen, which makes the level designing more interesting.

Hush now Fiero, there is no Bedlam. He died months ago after Zack sent me the Bedlam account. Twas destroyed by Wmull. So this one you think you see is nought but a figment of your imagination.
