The 2'nd one looks a little more like a newspaper.

That's usually what they're in around these parts (plastic bag), but usually the paper is folded into quarters.

I have never seen a news paper tied with string except in the old movies.(30's 40's) When I delivered papers (way back when) I used rubber bands or folded it inside it's self, so nothing was needed to hold it together. Kinda like an Origami project.
