MEGA WEAPONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heres an idea for the biggest weapon on the # pad, i concentrated beam of plasma that is so powerfull it will vaporize even the largest of demon species!

And you find it at the end of the game , on the last map , right ?

It's even worse than the BFG! From the sounds of it, it's too powerful. Who wants a weapon that will kill GOD with one shot? I wanna savor a big cyberdemon like monster. The last weapon should not only be awesome but difficult to use. This superweapon should involve a series of complicated attacks which involve strategy and knowledge of your enemy.

Actually , CRETE is right , if your talkin about a 1to10 shot weapon that toasts the end boss . But a beefier plasma rifle , type of secret weapon on the last level is okay , as long as it ain't too powerfull . No BFG , game ruination weapons !

The BFG was funnier than it was useful. I loved it when I first saw it but then I realized that I couldn't have fun with it for long. It either killed something or not....ok so the Cyberdemon was the only not but that's what I'm saying. Don't make weapons so powerful that you are dissappointed when they don't destroy the boss.

How about if you were limited to only one shot of this weapon in the entire level or game, and you were required to use it for something other than enemies, such as blowing up a weak wall?

The reason you'd be limited would either be due to no ammo for it, or the fact that if you use it more than once or too fast, it will overload, explode, and gib you into "high hell," as some of our Doom fans like to put it (!?!?!)

Last weapon should only be used once because it destroys you.
Obviously it shouldn't be a nuclear weapon because there would be no downside. Why nuclear war is great because it kill everyone instantly while the survivors gain glorious super powers!

None of the survivors gain super powers. Either they die of radiation poisoning or burns, or they mutate and/or bear offspring who are mutated, and then die of radiation poisoning or burns. The atom and hydrogen bombs aren't magic.

What is this die word? If there is anything I've learned from comic books and science fiction it's that people are turned into either super heroes or hideous mutant fiends by radiation.

I think i'm beginning to greatly dislike the whole idea of a bfg type o gun . If they put a bfg in the final level , it should be because all the demons are armed with bfg's too and they're all aimed at da player . That sure would wipe the smile off of the player who dances for joy in getting the bfg .

I think on the last level you pick up the bfg and then satan comes and kills you instantly.
You then get some words about satan letting you live for a while because he was bored and wanted to see you run and shoot your crappy guns against infinite hordes of demons.
You are then taken back to the menu screen with nothing new or extra.
You then complete it again on a harder difficulty to see if something different happens this time. You get to the last level again and some how just manage to fire a bfg shot at him and then he laughs and this time picks you up and eats you.

Ralph, should you ever get a job at a video game company, I would make your death my business.
That ending right there would cause one of the most horrendous computer screen hand trauma breakouts in the history of the world. Fans would literally burn any building that is associated with or sold id's products.....Let's try it!

Makron, the Q2 boss, shot BFG shots at you among other things, and that was pretty kewl.

A monster eating you would be a pretty kewl idea...but not for a major boss, otherwise it would sound like something from the Odyssey. In Doom, in fact, I think it was the demon's business to eat you...and it wasn't too good at it. In New Doom, the demon should be able to swallow you in one bite...so the only way to survive one would simply be not to let it get too close.

A lot of things tried to eat you in Half-Life as well. Humans must have been a delicasy in Xen

Satan is a seven headed dragon in revelation. Scylla is a six headed hydra. Maybe the game should be like the Oddysey. That would give id an excuse to put in some hot demon chicks as siren like creatures. SWEET!

Hah. While CRETE is spending some quality time with his penis, I just want to say that I'm all for nude babes in videogames, but once again it leads to the topic of the same subject...it's more of a Duke Nukem thing.
