PROGRESS - We're Finishing it This Time!!

Alright we are very close to finishing this now. So everyone work hard on the finishing up these maps. Soon you will start seeing threads about finalizing the project and entering the testing phase. Also make sure I have the latest copy of your map if you have done any recent changes to them.

Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard on keeping the project going and getting it finished. Everyone who contributed deserves a a large reward, and fortunately I will be able to deliver you 32 of the best Doom maps ever made very shortly.

Those of you with maps still in progress. Keep me updated on the progress often. Also, don't forget to include the new monsters in your maps. I want to see Cacosplode's!!

Also check that the map names in this list are correct. Map07, Map13, Map24, and Map32 still need names!!

So keep up the work and lets get this done.

SOMEone who is in LAST PLACE needs to FINISH THEIR MAP, FATAL.

Also, the dreaded 1% again, Doom Dude? Heh.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten to the last 1% and I've not mapped for anything in many weeks. I lost my enthusiasm for level design again. I will be trying to wrap this map up over the weekend. I hope no bullcrap happens in the meantime. So yeah, it's time to get er finished. Maybe a play through will get me more interested....

I'm almost finished map18. I just ran through it and had to fix some minor things and all I have left is some ammo tweaks.

Um just a couple of noobish questions PumpkinSmasher. How will the testing phase work? Will it be released for all the NDCP2 members to play or else? Who will play-test the maps?
I would appreciate it if the play-testers could give me harsh and extensive feedbacks and suggestions for change and whatnot: would I have the chance to fix my maps to be completely perfect for release? Sorry for being stupid, just would like to double-check.

Anyways keep it up guys!!!!

Basically anyone who worked on the NDCP2 will have a chance to playtest the entire wad. We are mainly looking for bugs (HOM, stuck monsters, and other mapping errors), not what would make a map look or play better. You will have some time to use the feedback to correct the map during the playtesting time period, but not a whole lot.

Glad to hear that you are finishing that last 1% DD.

Everyone else, keep up the good work.

Which reminds me, I have a question about an area in Absolute Evil where there is this what looks like a church or something with a big gapping hole in it, it's the area with an actual usable bridge going to it with a bunch of torches on it. ok now that you see what I'm saying, who made it? and what should I do with it? It's the only area in the map that just doesn’t fit with everything else, should I fix it or remove it?
If you see what I mean, I don't want to modify anyones section unless I have the ok to do so.
I'm having to build some landscape around the whole map to keep away from visible sky horizon also btw.

I think I partly know why this map didn't get finished now lol

Ha, but it will get finished!
That part was by g6672d. He said you can modify the areas as he knows some of them are under-detailed and need more work. So you can modify it or remove it, whichever you deem necessary.

Red stuff I'm either finished with or working on.
Don't pay much attention to the cliff sides, they are temp until I get around to rounding them off etc.
No real monster and item placements yet.75%

It looks that way but really there are only certain paths you can take from place to place. Most of it is floating on a pit of blood and brimstone. You’d be screwed without the teleporters in the pit.
The surrounding area is just cliff side and not accessible. Currently the cliffs i'v only just started on, they need a lot of work yet.
It could though very easily turn into one of those maps you just keep adding to and adding to. ~ but i'm gonna try not to add any more just update from this point on.
It is using some grid space heh.

That wasn't spos to happen was it.. ndcp2 taking as long as ndcp1 did..
Yeah lets get this thing done! sooner it's done the sooner we can put full consentration into something else :P
