I've since spent a lot of time in Map 31 with no crash problems. So theres something it don't like about Map 15 and I suspect it might when it tries to build the nodes. Map 15 is one of the maps where I joined quite a few sectors that were seperate but similar...

So I assume that it gives you the "DB has experienced a problem and needs to close" window. I don't know why it does that, but I get it sometimes after exiting 3D Mode. And when I go back to the map, sometimes it erases it from the WAD.

I don't see that message because I turned those off. If something crashes on my laptop I get a nice crazy message about writing to protected areas in memory.
He probably has it delete some object out of the memory and then tries to access it later without checking for the error. I bet it came out of an attempt to save memory -- or just a typo.

How does that help? By the way if it says it's saved a log file... I can never find the mofo'ing log file. Damned winblows.

If DB saves a log file you'll have to find out what it's called and search for it. I would have assumed it was in the DB folder.
If Windows is saving logs (can it do that?) they would probably end up in some stupid folder like the root folder or the Winblows folder. Wow, this keyboard is damn sticky. Have to pound these keys like an ancient typewriter. I'm in a lab, btw.

There are very few good Winona sites. One used to have a Winona chatbot. lol
![]() I don't see why Legacy would need to precompile FS. What it does need is a way of keeping it in sync for multiplayer games. Legacy is getting ACS anyway. The devs will probably just hack at that in the future and keep it in sync with ZDoom's version. |

I was told that FS would stop skipping commands and getting a higher reliability if precompiled... I always say that I never had the problem if FS skipping a single command (if it wasn´t my fault or I did not make sure it would run it (some wait(#) use is good for this sometimes) as well as I almost never had a true problem with Legacy but if the precompiled thing can help Legacy become a better port, go for it
.About sync and FS... Well, I also read somewhere else that FS depends on the capped framerate too so that´s two things to be done: multiplayer and single player if we ever get an uncapped framerate. Now... Can I say that I really wanted to state is that "I´m considering this possibilities and comparing it to the "Hi-Res sprites thread"... Yes, definitely Legacy needs slopes to make it more attractive"?. |
