First and foremost, I love what the Doomsday engine has done. It completely revives an old classic by modernizing it - something not easily accomplished without sacrificing the original feel of the game.

I appear to be having a bit of trouble with the high resolution packs. I have downloaded a couple, and have only gotten one to successfully register on doomsday (Hexen, to be exact). I saw under the WAD's tab the option to add pk3 and wad files, however this does not seem to resolve my issue. I would really like to see the shooter I grew up on have 3d monsters for me to kill instead of the sprites (not that the sprites are bad at all, but models are easier to kill than pixelated monsters).

I am running Doomsday official release 1.8.6 with the Doomsday KickStart 2.09

Well it sounds like you need the model packs or it just hasn't been loaded yet.
Not long ago the team was having issues with bandwidth, like everyone and little brother downloaded everything they had in 1 day and used up loads of bandwidth rendering the doors to be closed for the time being. Now I haven't checked lately if they even have anything hosted but after I heard of the issue I decided to upload the packs I had to filefront to help save on the DE teams bandwidth usage.
Here's the download link:

I don't think that I had all the packs but most resources and models should be in it. ;) Most of the stuff I had was on my old hdd left over from 2008.
Yeah it looks like the primary host for the resource packs is still off-line, so If something isn't in there, check the Doomsday forum here:

Will require bit torrent..
