View Full Version : Need help with my map.

Hi all,
Im new to NewDoom, but I've been editing maps since I discovered DoomBuilder1 long ago, after a while I stopped making wads and years later (now) I started again.
It was all going good until I faced this problem with a teleport.
I configure the teleport just like any other teleport in the game, but when I try it out it just wont work.
I'm gonna link my stage so you guys download it and try it out too. Some feedback, other than my little brother would be good *cacsmi*
The Stage is about 75% done though, but is playable.

BTW the stage is called: "Stairs of Death" *cacchz*

I hope that this post is in the right place too :p

I forgot to mention that is using Doom2 sprites and being edited with Doom Builder 2

I'd edit my 1st post to avoid double posting, but I dont see any edit post button.

Hello. I merged your posts.

Played your map and the first and 2nd teleporters work fine. Is there a particular teleport that isn't working for you? Made it as far as the area with the three 'key' doors. I'm testing in GZDoom.

[edit] I made it as far as the door that requires the blue key and have had no problems.

Paid Status isn't exactly a popular "feature", but become a regular member over time and it won't be an issue. :)

I couldn't figure out which teleporter you meant either.

Sorry about not specifying which teleporter was.
It the one in the room the the red skulls, the one with 2 hell knights and 1 baron of hell.

Doombuilder just broke the map. All you need to do is change the action and tags on the teleport linedefs to something else, change them back and then save the map. That sort of weirdness makes sense if you're into computer programming. That's the first time I've seen DB2 do something like that.

It doesn't work because the teleport destination thing is flagged only for medium difficulty.

Duh! I usually don't play on medium but I did this time..... it's been ages since I played tho, so brain isn't working all that well. :p

Hahaha! Now that you point that out, I know exactly how I made my mistake. When I tested that last time I didn't test on UV because I just hit ENTER all the way through the game menus. My bad.

Good news for the state of DB at least. I really have seen editors with bugs of the type I mentioned. BUILD was bad for that. :/
