The legacy xbox port supports split screen co-op.

Check out XBINS. There is a port of Legacy and DoomX there.

Unfortunately, it only links to the .nfo file... The download is not there. It seems that it was available on the internet for a while, but no more.

XBINS is a FTP site. Look for auto-xbins. It is a program that will log on to mirc to get a user name and password and then connect you to the ftp site. Then look under xbox, Console Based Applications, then games. It's in there. Enjoy :)
