Whos more lethal? Cybie or Spidey

Also think of Alternate scenarios.. In open areas with no or little cover its obvious Spidey will own you.. Cybie seems to be poor in open areas.. but is lethal in close quarters.. but so is Spidey.. imo Spidey is more dangerous but if you have BFG then he is not so bad.. Cybie is still threatening even with BFG... thats how I view it anyway.. whats your opinions.

It depends on the design of the map, and which weapons you carry, and how good you are at playing doom.

I tend to have more trouble with Spider Mastermind. He doesn't often miss with that chaingun. Cyberdemon's rocket missiles are easier to dodge.

Hmmm. I am thinking the spider is most dangerous to players because players cannot dodge bullets as they can rockets, but cyber is most dangerous to other enemies because they are dodging neither one. I am finding that from way these enemies are being placed in levels by authors, I am having more fear of the cyber in general. I find many Cybers in small rooms where rockets blast radius is hard to avoid, and few spiders in rooms without hiding spot.

I am wanting me BFG for either one though. *cachlo*

Well with the BFG9000, you can kill Spidey in one hit if you're up close, because it eats the green ball, and then all the damage traces. You can do the same with the Cyberdemon though you'd better hope he doesn't shoot you. See: BFG9000 FAQ (http://www.gamers.org/docs/FAQ/bfgfaq/)

EDIT: Well, it's not likely with the Cyberdemon, as it has 4000 health vs the Spider's 3000. It'll still take an awful lot off though, well hopefully... (http://games.moria.org.uk/doom/research/shooting-through-things)

Cyberdemon takes two shots up close with a BFG, if you are lucky you can do two in quick succession and it will die without firing a rocket. Though quicksave is usually a good idea before trying in either case.

I think cyber is harder..... I killed spider in 1 bfg at the end of first doom. it usually takes me like 3-4 bfg for cyber. spider is fatter so absorbs more traces and it has lower health so it dies quicker.
However it's harder to dodge.
I'm scared of both anyway.

I think the spider mastermind is easier to kill but harder to evade, whereas the cyberdemon is harder to kill but much easier to evade. Its very easy to dodge his missiles, but the spider mastermind's chaingun hits you often. :/
