After entering Alpha Labs using the big door with the dying marine on the right, every door that should automaticly open do not any more. the doors does not need a higher security, and has a green light on them.
I have used noclip for a while now and it has worked "ok" but events that triggers when doors are opened does not trigger when using noclip, such as the spider queen boss.
i have tried various things, deleted the config.spec and doomconfig.cfg files and unpacked the .pk4 files. But so far no cigar.
anyone have a clue for whats going on?
oh last ting. when i start a new game the doors seems fine again. (just tried the first ones i saw)
Specs
Core i7 920
HIS Radeon 4870x2
Windows 7 Build 7100 RC1
all the latest drivers as of Mai 3 2009.

if your running around with noclip enabled, no event that's triggered by a player walk-over will work.

I started using noclip AFTER the doors started not to open.
its was a last resort after trying to figure out why they stopped. i failed.
(thanks for quick reply btw)

Have you patched your Doom3?

It might be an idea to try reinstalling. Uninstall like you would, then delete the Doom3 folder and then install+patch again. If it still fails, you may want to check that the disc isn't bad, say by installing on another computer.
If you're using the Steam version, similar idea.

Given that you say this:
oh last ting. when i start a new game the doors seems fine again. (just tried the first ones i saw)
Have you tried abandoning the save file and starting over, as harsh as that could be?

Vermil: im working on that as we speak. but was realy hopening to find a way around that.
is there no way to open doors via console commands. i have looked through the list over here http://www.doomwadstation.com/doom3/console/ but its so much i cant understand.

Absolutely not worth it. If the savegame has one glitch, there's likely to be others. So, delete that dirty save and either start again, or open the console (Ctrl+Alt+~) and warp via the map command.

Can confirm that is was a borked save file. played past alpha labs 1 just now on a new game, everything is working perfectly.
Thanks for all help guys, consider this thread for Solved.
Still strange thou.
oh, just came to mind, the doors didnt open for enemies either.

what operating system are you using? are you using a source port?heh, whoops I thought the thread said phobos labs for some reason, so I was under the impression we were talking about original Doom. hah.

Comprehension fail. :D
I'm just trying to imagine what kind of byzantine savegame system could make the doors in a map all fail.

Yeah wow... Must have saved some sort of variable and not disabled it.

Yeah that's strange, never heard of such a thing happening in D3 before now.
I know that after patching, any save games in progress will start you back at the beginning of the level in which it was saved.
Makes you wonder if a door was opening or closing before a patch or something heh. hard to say.
Good luck.
