Speaking of Era Endings!
Posted this on the R-G forums as well . . .
Well, what did you guys think?
I was saddened. As the two hours unfolded, it was like watching a train wreck, and I kept saying, No... No...
At the point where Cavil put the pistol to his mouth and blew his brains out, I laughed. But it wasn't a good laugh. That scene was the point where the boat jumped over the shark for me. And the rest didn't even matter, and made the events of the entire saga not matter anymore. I saw the hand of the writer wrapping things up, and de-legitimizing 4+ seasons of fan loyalty for what was one of the very best and most unique series in television history.

Yeah I watched that last night too, pretty cool though somethings were pretty unexpected, and wasn't ready to see what's her name die at the end either in the heli-craft or whatever, she should have lived.
I felt relieved that Cavil blow his brains out heh, at that point it sounded like he said ah fuck, instead of ah frak heh.
Their working on a new series now aren't they? not BSG but something else.

Yes, Caprica.
Hope it's decent, although I'm disheartened to know the ultimate end, so to speak.
Here's a link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caprica_(TV_series)) for that one.Home Media Magazine's John Latchem states that Caprica has "all the same dark overtones and richness of character that fans have come to expect from Galactica." He notes that Caprica "[evokes] a feeling similar to Gattaca in its depiction of a potential near-future, while infusing elements of the Matrix and Terminator movies to set up a bridge to the events viewers know will unfold." The Futon Critic's Brian Ford Sullivan finds the first 15 minutes "a weird mix of teen angst, hedonism and virtual reality", however, "once established, the world of Caprica has the potential to be just as compelling, interesting and multi-faceted as its "sequel" - minus of course the cool shit blowing up in space. In just 92 minutes, Caprica manages to dish out a surprisingly dense, but not too overwhelming, array of plot threads".
