Can I use my map as a contest entry?

I was planning to ask this after NDCP 2 has been released, but since an opportunity has arisen, I guess I might as well ask now.

There's a contest I'd like to join using my NDCP 2 map. It's not going to end anytime soon (July it reads), but I thought it'd be fair to ask for a permission to use my map for other uses than just NDCP 2 before actually doing anything.

Also is it fine if I release my map as a stand alone map some time after NDCP 2 has been out?

Otherwise I wouldn't ask this, but I believe that my map is quite unique, and I've heard some other folks say the same, so I figure that I could get some more responses as to how it is.

I understand if you folks would prefer that NDCP 2 maps are found only in the megawad, in which case I'll skip the contest and won't make a rogue release of my map.

I think it's pretty much entirely up to you FATAL. There have been individual releases after project releases (Thunderpeak, other Sphange maps from CC come into mind) and no end-of-the-world incidents occurred. Indeed your NDCP2 map is quite unique. I forgot to tell you this, a friend of mine played your map and he really loved it and he doesn't even play doom that much :/
After playing your map, he said "Josh, you should try and map like that!" lol. *cachmf*

I see no problem with this, as long as you not release it before ndcp2 gets released.
