The following is not perfect, and there's three answers to each, all numbered 1, 2, and 3. This'll give you a rough score on which way you lean. Keep in mind that you want to pick the answer CLOSEST to yours.
You might surprise yourself, and actually aggree with the "other side", whichever your side is.
================================================== ========================
You have a 10-year-old son, and he wants to join a Pop Warner Football team. There are three different groups in which you can enroll him in. Which would you rather him be in?
(1) Win or lose, everybody wins a trophy.
(2) Teams win, teams lose, but outstanding players win trophies, whether they were on the winning side, or not.
(3) League where only the winning team gets trophies, the losing teams have to accept loss.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your kid comes home from school and he hands you a test. You'd like to see from the teacher:
(1) No red ink, or answers marked simply wrong. That will offend the student, or hurt their feelings.
(2) Red ink, wrong answers, encouraging corrections, and partial credit for partially right answers/steps to solve a problem.
(3) Wrong answers are wrong, period.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a tough one: An adult is charged with raping a liitle boy, and in testimony, the rapist said he was also raped as a small kid. If you were on the jury of this case, how would you swing?
(1) He should get a light sentince, because, he was a victim, too.
(2) You feel for him, but he should'nt get off lightly, because he should know better.
(3) Maximum sentince, death row if possible.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What's your stance on the rich getting taxed, versus the lower-wage earners?
(1) The rich should pay more. They can afford it.
(2) Flat tax. Everyone should pay the same rate, reguardless of income.
(3) The rich should pay less in taxes, shift the burden elsewhere.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marajuana:
(1) Legalize it, period.
(2) Medical use, maybe, but other uses? No.
(3) It's an illegal drug, no exceptions.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who do you blame for the economic failure?
(1) Republicans
(2) Both parties
(3) Democrats
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your stance on illegal immigrants:
(1) They're trying to make a life for themselves, let them stay.
(2) Per-case basis. Some may need to stay, or get killed back home, the rest, send back.
(3) Send them all back where they came from, period.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
People who get Welfare, Food Stanps, and other forms of aid:
(1) Everyone who wants it, shall get it.
(2) People need it, but get the lazy and abusive people off assistance.
(3) You don't want to work, you don't get any money. Help is for the despirate.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Abortion:
(1) Need one? Go get one.
(2) It's a woman's right to choose, but you should look at adoption, or other ways to avoid abortion, if you can.
(3) It's a crime. It's murder.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hollywood's actors, and their pollitical views:
(1) Straight on!
(2) A bit far-fetched, but sometimes are right.
(3) Left-Wing lunitics.
================================================== ========================
How'd you do? Here's the score breakdown:
INDIVIDUAL SCENARIOS: A 1 means you're thinking like a Democrat, a 3 as a Republican, and the 2 being middle of the road.
TOTALS:
10-15 = Democratic, the lower, the more liberal.
16-24 = Usually no preference. Sometimes to the left, sometimes to the right.
25-30 = Republican, the higher, the more religious your views are.
Agian, not perfect, but it's just a mere indicator, and all possible scenarios would make this a nightmare to produce, so remember, it's a guestimate.
You might surprise yourself, and actually aggree with the "other side", whichever your side is.
