At least 60,000 people acted (including myself) on this to reverse the misdimeanor charges on journalists who were doing THEIR JOBS.

Good. Funny how the ones who care about "security" always hate freedom and yet claim they're defending it.

what about all the folk who are not journalists that also got arrested, shouldnt they be set free too?
I dont understand the full circumstances from that story, it looks like loads of people got arrested because the authorities assumed they were planning to demonstrate against the republicans. I dunno how it can be an arrestable offence to 'intend to demonstrate'. Is it illegal to demonstrate in the USA? or is it just illegal to demonstrate against the republican party?

In the states stuff seems to be illegal when the cops decide it is and only then. They do get a lot of rioting bastards at those demonstrations but they tend to arrest way too many people. Journalists is way too far though. The cops who did that should be sacked or arrested themselves.

Probably a couple of them should have their heads hung up on piles for 20 years like they did to Oliver Cromwell when they restored the English monarchy. :D

Well I think they needed a warrant thing to protest or something. You can't just go in out of nowhere or something like that... I think...

You should be able to. Forcing permits to protest is one of those stupid tricks invented by people who are all about law and order.

Or all about stopping anyone from protesting. To get the permit you have to give the authorities your identity so if they should someday get rid of all those who oppose them your name comes up.
