It would appear that Bully has been banned (on inadequate grounds, I might add). And then, for no apparent reason, they block all blogs hosted by wordpress.com! What happened to freedom of speech?

I'm getting real tired of this. Politicians need to focus on the real issues instead of finding another "Marilyn Manson" that they can pick on without consequence.

Hahaha.. This is just insane man, I feel really sorry for those Brazilians who are affected by this!
Horray for not being part of such madness..

My brother rented it today, so maybe I'll finally get to play this "columbine simulator" for myself.

This is what happens when you let Jack Thompson wannabe's be judges. Massive Stupidity.

I bet he has never ever played the game. Somebody just pointed out the existence of the game and he thought: "I must enjoy this opportunity to appear on the media!"

Didn't they ban Counter-Strike as well? There was some thread floating around here a while back.

Yeah they did, and Everquest. This is stupid beyond any possible description.

Specially when Everquest isn't even sold in Brasil. And the reason was because it does what pratically everyother MMORPG does: it let's you make decisions.

And about CS... they just fucked up Professional Gaming in the country. Just that.

Well the worst part is they didn't even care enough to come up with a good reason, it's like they're doing these things at the drop of a hat. Who's next? Mass effect? (If they hated the choice making in Everquest, then they'll want to pee on the next copy of Mass effect that comes within radius of them, then burn it, then pee on it some more, then ban it)

I really don't think their minds can even begin to comprehend what a big deal it is to ban something. They're basically saying that because they don't like it, nobody can have it. No matter how you slice it that's not fair, and should be considered a violation of human rights.

Man, this is so stupid. I hate when "politicians" who probably didn't even care to play a game, ban it. Apperantly the problem here was that "The whole setting was in a school", which is ridiculous. This is extremely unfair to gamers. Politicians should have no say in the gaming world.

Politicians should have no say in the world.
Fixed.

Time for a revolution!

What there should be is some sort of qualification test on certain matters such as this before they would be allowed to decide on matters concerning it. Politicians don't have to know anything of anything, just get enough votes.

If this keeps up it will be like Fahrenheit 451. Book burnings, culture will be completly removed ,and riot's followed by the collapse of the western world as we know it. fingers crossed it dosen't go that far :D ,but if people can't write what that want or say what they want. I mean really what happened to freedom of speech?

Agreed.

I'm not too keen on Brzilian government. Is Freedom of Speech constitutional or guaranteed or something there?

On many aspects Brasil is just a Poor man's USA. Even our president is dumber then theirs... :P

On Wordpress, it seens that what happened was that some idiot uploaded a porno movie to his blog and some judge wanted it out, but Wordpress couldn't bring it down without bringing all blogs together... but it's fixed now.

The internet has porn on it. People need to learn to deal with that.
