Hi,
first of all I'd ask you to not get me wrong. I tried to be nice, played through and through without cheating following the tips to get to hectic map, trained a lot to beat it (after all cheats can't be enabled there), but when finally I get the 3 keys, unlock the blockages and finish the level using the now reachable exit, it throws me back to the 1st level saying I cheated (how could I possibly ever used cheats when they are disabled on that level?). Tried 3 times more, same thing... That does it. Could someone please be gentle with me as I was with this game to tell me which file or registry key should I hack and how to do it to finally enable jumping? Some areas are almost impossible to reach without it, sometimes it takes more than 50 shots. It's time I show who's actually a cheater. If someone knows, please PM me, 'cause I hope for some people, it works using the honest way.
Best Regards,
Filipe

What...? The TC shouldn't even care if you cheat. You should just suddenly be able to cheat, and change the options somewhere (although item respawning doesn't seem to work... not with me anyway).

The only level you can't cheat in is Hectic. Go up to that point with full weaponry and all. Complete Hectic and cheats should be available... thats how I always did them.

I'd like to ask the same question as the OP. How do you enable jumping from the get-go? Can you edit something in the config, or some other file? And if not, could somebody post a file to enable jumping or something.

I like to play these games with jumpin enabled.

The jumping was disabled because the idea of the TC was to reproduce the game faithfully. I hate to be a dick about this, but why don't you open some of the files and find out how they disabled it? The best way to learn new things is to jump right into it yourself.

Or, assuming the Doom 64 TC is like the original Doom 64 in that it seems it can only run one script at a time, glitch it for an easy victory. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4j1RQ3nlLc)

Well don't waste your time, there is probably nothing that does. The cheat activation is probably kept in a save game but nothing else. Once you get them, close the game and the cheats are unavailable again, unless you load that cheated game or do Hectic again.
