Fist i'd like to start this post by saying this is probably my first post in about 2 years! I'm surprised my account was still active! Oh well.

So my question is i have my copy of doom 3 sitting amongst my archaic pc games and was wondering about giving it ago. SO! Here comes my problem, the last time i played doom 3 was on my PC which ive recently sold. so i was wondering if my mac mini could handle it?

Its specs are:
- Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz
- 1gb DDR2 667mhz Ram
- Intel GMA 950 (shared with ram)

I cant seem to find any views on it anywhere else so i thought i'd enquire here and hopefully i'll post more often, now that i know i still have an account!

well, you could always try it and find out.

I did it on an older ppc mac mini before they went to intel, so I don't see why not. The framerate never went above 30 on low detail though, so it wasn't exactly a great experience. Specs were 1.5 ghz g4, 512 mb ram, ati radeon 9200, so take from that what you will.

You can always try it, but don't expect a very nice experience with integrated graphics.

Also, I don't think the Windows version of Doom 3 will work on a Mac at all.

Boot Camp is there so you can run Windows natively on a Mac, though this is considering he has a copy of XP/Vista lying around, and has Leopard installed.

thund3r - If you don't have Leopard and a copy of XP/Vista, then I'm afraid you won't get it to work. There is a Mac version of Doom3 though, and I'm pretty sure it'd be cheap. And when you do get it to work by some way or other, as I said before it won't be a very nice experience with integrated graphics, or at least don't expect anything more than moderately playable performance.
