View Full Version : Trouble With DungeonDoom

I d/led & installed a mod for Doom³ called DungeonDoom {its homesite (http://dungeondoom.d3files.com/index.htm)}. I have Doom³ updated to the latest v1.3.1 and am using WinXP Home. I do not have Resurrection of Evil (yet). I d/led & installed the one on the top of the list on the d/l page there ("Final DungeonDoom 8.2").

It runs just fine, for a very short time. The trouble is when I enter the towne gate. I get a prompt asking whether or not I want to enter the towne. I enter Yes. I appear in the towne with a window on my screen like so:

...

Err...whoops! I just found that DungeonDoom doesn't seem to support screenshots! :(

Anyway, a window comes up that says (among other things) something like "Press Down Arrow to Continue". I have the Down Arrow bound to Move Backward, but even if I unbind the key, it still has no effect--the window remains. If I just try disregard the window, even though it fills much of the screen, and simply move on, I find myself stuck, as if bouncing off the border of some invisible...Hold Person/Monster spell or something! :O What foul magik could this be!? And how can I escape it to play the game?

This is a mod specific question, please go to the DungeonDoom development forum and ask them.
Thanks.

Eeh, I tried that. Apparantly that forum is only for the DungeonDoom dev team. Only they may access that forum. That's why I'm asking here. Does anyone here know anything?

You can contact them via e-mail. or check Doom3world.org and run a search on the mod.
If the mod is not full of bugs or something, it also depends on your version of Doom3 vs. the mod version as explained in another topic here.

Other than that, no, no one knows anything here lol
I'm usually the only one that takes time to answer or at least help out with the Doom3 specific questions here.
Most of the time anyway. ;)

Okay, I'll continue my search for the info. Thanks for the tips and other help, MR_ROCKET. You rock, man!

Heh, np, sorry I couldn't be more help about this topic but you can't blame me for not wanting to answer mod specific questions like this. I just wouldn't be able to help with this unless I was in every single mod team out there which I'm not heh.

Yeah. No prob. I can understand that just fine. So many games and so many mods for them all, but only so many good mods for any of them. Seems only a few have built true game-design skillz. N00bs should be shot in the face with a double-barrel shotgun, but real life ahahahaha

If I get the info, I suppose it would be no problem for me to post the info back here, for whomever's interest. DungeonDoom looks like it might actually be cool.

Yeah that would be cool. :)
Just remember, everyone including everyone once was a noob!

Other than the developers derived from id software. ;)
