I think it looks cool but the figure in the center looks kinda weird IMHO.

It looks better without him indeed... but I wanted to have an outcast in the image, if you now what I mean. It looks a bit too empty without him.

Maybe if he was the same color as the background image?

I could try that... but he would became too less evident in the image. I want him to be seen as soon as you look at it.

He's the outcast, right? :P

Hehe yeah true. ;)
It looks good, I think it's just that he sort of covers up the big background evil skull thing.

Looks quite nice, but the doom guy just looks too low quality compared to the rest, which doesn't help the picture much.

That's because of the fact that there are no High resolution sprites for him in the TC.

I tried to find some in the various PK3 packages but could find any.
