Sorry that I didn't respond earlier.
As last time, some of them look good, and some of them look a bit silly. The bfg and imp fireball projectiles look very neat, along with the demon. However, the sargeant looks a bit weird, and the imp's face is a bit messed up too. Some of those sprites look like all that has been done is some photoshop filter applied to them.
Good job overall!

Hey Fatal... How ya doin buddy?
Thank you for your opinion. I can use your opinions on my forum. You are exactly what I need over there. Look... if you do nothing else, I'd appreciate if you would comment like this so we can adjust accordingly. What we're interested in, is getting these done, right.
Thank you Fatal...*wave*

I think you're doing a pretty good job with them. However, The Sargeant and Imp Head look wierd. I also don't get the black bar on the Baron's face. The BFG blast is perfect, though. They all look painted (literally)... I don't know if that's good or bad.
But good job!

Ooh, I'm sorry, I also visit 2 and half forums, I don't think I can handle another one! You could just use Newdoom (or Doomworld if you're desperate ;)) to get comments and coordinate with the team on your own forums. I think that would be the win - win solution, no?

Yes I'm sure if you put pics here (the links are good, too) we can have a feedback thread. Try all them other DooM forums as well if you like.

At one time there was a de-pixilation program that would really do a number on sprites, smoothing them out to the point where all you'd have to do was soften them a bit.
Still the usual work but it might help, though I don't remember what it was called lol.
I bet Big_AL or Alio would know.

(or Doomworld if you're desperate ;)
Fatal... I wouldn't call trying to recruit being desperate... not going over to Doomworld is being desperate.;)
That's something, I'm not!

The hi-resolution sprites look really good. Is there a download link to a zip file with the progrees so far? Are there any other depixelized sprites, or only the ones I see in the forum posts?
Are there any ports that support hi-resolution sprites?

I think these sprites look quite... weird. All of them do. They looks painted, with shade of colors that just look plain weird. The kind of things I really don't see as "good" to use in game, in my opinion.
I understand its hard work and all, but maybe the way of doing them just is not the best for that. Maybe in game they don't look that bad...

The keys look pretty good. The shotgun shells are still a bit flat, if you ask me. The rocket pack is also good, although still a bit flat.

They look like someone actually painted them.

They do. Is that bad, though? I would have to see them in-game...

Overall, I really like the style of these sprites. The cacodemon and archvile in particular are good. *thumbs*
Eh, like others are saying, the sargeant does look a little funny. :p

Thank you for your opinion guys... It's responses like these that will help us out in the long-run. Looking cartoony for some of these is right. It's just tougher trying to get some of these to look halfway decent. Keep one thing in mind though, we're trying to deal with a classical 2d engine where all the graphics, whether textures or sprites are flat single images, and on top of that, their resouce isn't much to talk about either. Extracting the from the iwad doesn't help our efforts, believe me. All-in all, we move a little bit, then it stops... move a little more, stop again, etc. Now that I have my own personal web site with my new forum, I'm hoping things will go a little better than it has been. With permission from thi forum I'd like to ell you guys where it's at: macsdoompage dot com /forum. There's not much there right now. the reason being that there's no back-up option when running a free forum on a free hosting site like what happens when one uses phpbb on their hosting site, so we have to start from scratch. Anyway, enough rambling... stop in every once in the a while.;)
[Edited] Apologize for being slightly off topic. How do you guys get that customized slogan under your usermanes?
