Can a monster slide through a monster blocking linedef if it's dead? For example, could rocket blast cause a former human to slide through a monster blocking linedef?

If I recall correctly, it can. You can easily make a little test map about it with a rocket launcher, a former human and some lines.

EDIT: well I did try it, and I'm pleased to report that it does block dead monsters too.

Havent you ever played e1m1 with idkfa?

The lines that make that zigzaggy bridge are monster blocking.

With "It can" I meant "It can block"... What the hell do you want that for?.

invisible teleports look silly if some dead monster disappears while teleporting.

heres some tips to keep the monster out of your teleport. Assuming that it won't come out bad in your map, you can pick out the most reasonable one.

-If the teleport is down a flight of stairs, change the heights so the teleport is up a flight of stairs, so the monster doesnt slide down.

-Make an invisible door that has to be opened by walk over.

-Use a heavier monster such as a demon, revenant or hell knight.

-Dont let the player get a BFG, SSG, or rocket launcher before that teleport.

What on earth?

The monster blocking linedef worked fine.
