Here we are with an extraordinarily beautiful map from Shtbag. However, the small details don't cover up for the flaws in the map itself.
Level Design: 6
The map starts traditionally, meaning that the player has to get a key to get a bit further and such. The tube-like character of the map is revealed immediately. There are no detours, no hidden stashes or any fancy mapping tricks. If the player doesn't fall under the spell of the humongous amounts of detail, he'll surely see how usual the map is.
However, once the player advances a bit in the map, new elements are introduced. There are vast areas with huge battles and great views across them; things that look more interesting than the usual stuff. Besides a certain backtracking phase, though, they have little impact on actual gameplay, so all in all Yesterday is a bit boring map to run through.
Difficulty: 6
First of all, the level is very difficult. There are loads of enemies all around the map, and very little health to compensate it. The lack of health powerups is the biggest problem in the map. Even on the middle difficulty there weren't enough health packs to make it without much frustration, and finishing this map without saving is nearing masochism. Armor was also practically nonexistent, so the lack of health is certainly a significant problem.
There was enough ammunition on the map, but only if you made all the shots count. Running out of ammo is very possible, especially if one fires carelessly. When I finished the map I had only 1 rocket and nothing else left, and I consider myself being quite a good shot (although the immense detailing of the map caused slowdowns on doomsday), so I'm quite certain that many other people may find ammunition to be a wee bit too scarce.
Detailing: 9
This map is so densely detailed, that it caused major slowdowns with my old Doomsday version. Everywhere you look you see the tiniest of bricks and holes in the ceiling, floor or walls. Many of the details are just for looks, and don't add to the overall theme of the map very much. Besides that, there's not much to complain. I get the awful feeling that too much effort was put into detailing the map, and too little to the overall planning of other elements. It's clear that there would've been much to improve in the other portions of the map.

A peek inside can reveal so much sometimes! Yea rightÂ…

I liked the look of this area, but I have to wonder what materials the demons used.
