A different map, for this one has no exit switch or exploring bases or other areas. Simply put, it's an arena with monsters spawning around, eventually killing the player due to their overwhelming numbers. A good idea for a doom map, that's for sure. Couple of first tries I had very good time, trying to figure out the best method for dispatching those imps to some better place to pester people. However, soon I discovered a tactic which made the map way too easy. I had to stop playing eventually, not because of dying, but because after the level 22 the map simply didn't have anything more to offer, and I decided to stop purely of boredom. I would've liked much more if I weren't able to use some certain tactic to survive easily.

Once in ten levels the player meets a boss, may it be some barons, mancubi or some other, more powerful creatures. Otherwise he gets only imps to fight with. Lots of imps, for that matter. The player is given a shotgun, and after couple of levels, a super shotgun. Ammunition isn't a problem, and taping the fire button down isn't such a bad idea if you're up to a long run. Once in a while also spawns some medical kits to keep the health up, but when the map is played fairly, the med packs are too scarce, and when using the method I found out while playing, the med packs suffer from inflation.

Visuals are plain, and there isn't anything special here. Only things worth mentioning are the snowflakes dropping from the sky, and the fitting snow textures. The music was rather annoying, and the optional mp3 music wad didn't make it any better. Suggest turning on your windows media player (or winamp) and listen to your own favourite tunes. The "next wave" sign was really annoying as it appeared in the middle of the screen, blocking the view successfully.

This was a fun wad at first. I really enjoyed being crushed by dozens of imps, but after I figured out the easy way (which I won't be telling you here, to preserve your enjoyment), it lost its charm. A bit different level design and bam, this would've been a wonderful wad. I look forward to seeing more of wads like this one in the future.
