This wad is one of the better deathmatch wads I've played. Not only it has many quality maps, but it also has some goodies for the players to enjoy. First I noted that some levels have different "difficulty levels", meaning that the lower the difficulty level, the less objects are on the map, so one must fire sparingly, while on the higher levels the levels are full of things to blow your friends up. Most of the seven levels are quite well balanced, with weapons scattered evenly around the level. Usually the player gets at least a shotgun when he spawns.

Visually this wad is average. It isn't anything special, but it sure as hell gets the job done. Some maps have many small details in them, while others have huge pits with no significant detailing. I don't think that people have time to look at small details while playing deathmatch, anyway. For me the details are just fine for these maps. They aren't unexistant, and not excessive. Every map has some certain theme, may it be a lone fortress in the middle of battlefield, or a gloomy lava arena with only a few ways out. Lighting isn't really fiddled with, but some maps give the opportunity to hide (camp ;)) in the darkness waiting for prey.

Few of the levels may be a bit confusing at start, but get better as you learn their tricks. The levels are quite well varied. While some levels are just small arenas where all you need are quick reflexes, in some levels it's possible to play sneaky and always stay one step ahead of you partners. Many levels had some nice linedef actions used, which made them more interesting, one or two were very simple arena based maps, without anything special.

Overall these maps are really great and fun to play. Since they're so varied, everyone can find their favourite within the wad. Graphical quality is doing its job well, and I don't have much to complain about it, as I'm not really a detail lover, as long as the maps not totally bare, and these aren't. Everyone who likes deathmatch, will like this wad, and those who haven't really played deathmatch, this is a nice start. Highly recommended.
