Do I have to export this or something? Anyway, I finished making my first Doom level (unless of course there's something I missed). Created in Doom Builder, tested in Zdoom, using FreeDoom's IWAD.

The map had its lot of begginer errors but it wasn't that bad

I enjoyed it and I was even sad that it wasn't longer
It's rare to see maps in Freedoom

One thing, you give a yellow key and the final door is red

Its not that bad considering this is your first effort in making maps for doom, but its full of bugs and thats what I see alot with unexperienced mappers but thats okay its your first map you can't expect to be an pro right from the start.

My first efforts were just as bad as this no wait I think they were even worse than this mine was just an huge box with platforms were monsters stood on not an fun map to play I can tell you :p

Keep mapping I think after an couple of maps you will start to improve.

Yeah, there were some misaligned textures, not unpegged doors and other details like that, but still, most first maps are just a plain room with a BFG and a cyberdemon...

Oh, that? There are 4 secret rooms, 3 of them contain different color keys. My brother doesn't like when I insert secrets, so I make sure to insert them just to tick him off. I've got another one I'm working on where you have to use transporters in a certain sequence to get to the end. I "wrote" the sequence using lighted sectors so you can't see the hint if like him you use IDBEHOLDL if the lighting's less than 255. I haven't even inserted the monsters yet but he already hates it. lol

I'm going to go back and unpeg those doors. Then, I think I'm going to see if I can figure out how to make a really tall level, like my volcanic crater idea, without the bottom of the stage getting pulled up when I try to make the ceiling too high.

A volcanic hole would be nice, like with platforms of different heights forming floors and you start at the botom and each "floor" has a switch that raises the lava to the next floor and so on till you're at the top

How do I change the music in a level?

You have to use a lump editor (XWE or Slumped are my favorite, I use one or the other depending on what I want to do), you add a lump to your wad by importing a .mid file and you name the lump D_RUNNIN (This is the name of the lump that contains the music for MAP01
